Weeping Willow and I
Where morning dew meets mysterious bog
Past the unholy, creeping fog
Beyond the home of the nimble fawn
And down the river where live the swans
Will you find the weeping willow
To whom I’m its trusty fellow
As she cries in silent woe
In the winds her long hair does blow
Her head bent toward the cold ground
Her mane of leaves hides a frown
I alone know her despair
Because in her place I have been there
By her side I am her company
Something I wish someone was for me
For while I was at the brink of sadness
No one came to aid my madness
Like her, I was and am alone
Waiting for life to take its toll
So by her I sit night and day
As our hearts fade to gray.
