a boy with eyes that shined so bright
a girl that hid her pain in the night
hoping that boy would be the one
hoping he would see all the damage done
but the boy moved on to better things
the girl was left with broken wings
left to walk the dark path in tears
left alone to face all her fears
every tear that hit the ground
made her head spin round and round
with thoughts of pain from before
each memory cutting her to the core
she finally lifted her head up high
she shouldnt be crying over a guy
all these tears were blocking her sight
she dried them up and with all her might
she showed the world she deserved true love
God sent her an angel from above
a guy to hold her when she cried
a guy who complimented her when she tried
even when things didnt turn out great
he helped her get her life straight.
as for the boy with the bright eyes
those better things were all lies
now he sleeps all alone
and she wont pick up her phone
