Wintry Love

When beauty from the soft white clouds above
Finds grace to pause and with a finger brush
Around the world small signatures of love,
Then does my soul with passion fully gush.

Your shiny sweet complexion steals my gaze,
Why, even twinkles sparkle as you fly,
Across the sky you dance in endless praise,
Your icy charm, unrivaled, chains my eye.

How, then, can my affection dissipate
While heartbeats full of ardor sadly sigh,
As wishes, unfulfilled, of love repaid
Must flutter off with no sign of reply.

For as I touch your bit of sparkling lace
You fade, wet sparkles leaving but a trace.
