Evolution of Love
The first fire warmed up cold hearts. Sticks and stones really did break bones,
And love was without boundaries. The heat up, no more fire needed.
Love, a spiritual gift to the deity. An infant sacrifce.
A blood bond. Bloody Love. True sacrifice.
Two riders out on horses, rolling together in the field.
A carriage drives by with two lovers going to the Eiffel Tower.
A lift takes them up, and back down, where they take an automobile,
and out of the window see an old couple being forced to move.
Love is in it all. Then they get on the blimp. Screams, Fire.
Love is lost in on moment. The only reminder a grave,
and the sounds of Army engines saluting the fallen comrade.
The baby in the stomach, never sees his father.
Joins the Kentucky Derby, and sees a girl.
