Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. But set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life. - Terry Pratchett

Between the shadow and the flame
Within the fabric sky’s fold
Buried in our summer rain
Beneath our earth’s soul
In a land of eternal darkness
A land of infinite light
During winter’s brightest day
And summer’s darkest night.

Where marriage bonds two in hate
Enemies sealed with a kiss
Night shall fall and drown the sun
Grant your darkest wish.

The stars shine in the noonday sky
Sun lights our darkest night
Funeral prayers to wedding bell rings
Friendship burns in fight

All sinners have a future
Saints all had a past
Castles topple on stable sand
Only ruins are built to last

Follow me from ruined sight
To live you play the game
Join us on our darkest night
Between shadow
And the flame.
