Phyllis Jane

She is gone now, but forever in our hearts. She was short yet commandingly tall. White puffs of her fluffy hair would set her old, wisely lined face in a still portrait of white. Sometimes it was like I could almost see the angel she was destined to become, wearing her halo with pride. But, the most memorable thing about her was her crystal clear blue eyes that could pierce right through you and seek out the truth from a lie. She was kind and caring soul, who was forever teaching lessons. Some were lessons used in everyday life, and some were about morality, others still were simply about common sense. Even when she knew it was her time to leave this world she would look up at me with those crystal sharp eyes and would flood me with hope for the future.
