Moving On
I'd write a million sentences,
id it'd help heal the pain.
I'd do anything really,
Just to keep me sain
You took my heart,
Broke in two.
And to think
"I actually loved you?"
You were my first kiss,
you were my whole world.
But then you met a girl,
With hair all twirled.
You thought she was perfect,
Because she really was.
You left me for her.
Everyone does.
I never stopped crying,
Wouldn't get out of bed.
I'd go to school,
With a knot on the top of my head.
But one day I stopped the nonsense.
I finally said "Screw it."
"I'm getting over this."
I'll find the just the right fit.
So this proves girls,
Even when you're in a slum.
Have faith in God,
And you'll overcome.
I found a new guy.
You will too.
Now you go looking.
Shoo! Shoo!
