Where were you?
For days and nights, nothing.
And then it stopped -
Very different.

I was so happy,
And then, again, it stopped.

You can't know what it is.
You can't know what I was feeling.
But I can handle it alone.
And there's only one way out of here for all of us -
I'll go too.

The author's comments:
This is the product of an assignment I had to do in my Freshmen Seminar class. We had just finished reading Maus II by Art Spiegelman. My teacher, Mrs. Jordan, had us randomly open the book and pick lines we liked, then put them in order to a poem. A "found poem". I added a few more lines so it'll make a little bit more sense than the original. I'm extremely proud of this because usually I have no commendable writing ability. I hope you guys enjoy!
