As It Rained
She led me down an old familar path
To a safe haven beside the lake
And there in the darkness of midnight we made memories that would
Last a lifetime she took my hand and danced with me As the rain fell ever so gently against our skin she Kissed my cheeks leaving a warmth that would never Fade she held onto me promising to never let go I Beared my soul to her allowing all my insecurities to show
She filled in the places of which I was lacking
She wasn't an angel but she took me to heaven we made memories in the darkness of midnight as it rained
