In the heart
Knowing you’re alone
Isolated
It’s like being kicked
When you’re already down
Knowing that no one,
Not a single soul,
Is coming to your side
It’s like jumping into a roaring fire
And not being able to step out
Knowing that the one who was so close
Has left you alone
In the dark
Isolated
It’s plunging into a deep dark hole
With nothing,
No one,
To hang on to
Knowing that you were left
Out in the cold
Alone
Longing for someone
Anyone
