Screaming and laughing
Tanning and lounging
Seagulls circling overhead
This is my summer at the beach
Bonfires on the sand
Red plastic cups scattered
Hotdogs sizzling over an open fire
This is my summer at the beach
Early morning runs
Late night truth or dare
Screams of joy filling the air
This is my summer at the beach
Watching the surfers catch waves
Each heat more intense than the one before
Cheering on each competitor
This is my summer at the beach
Pinks, reds, and purples
Cover the evening sky
Our last night on the beach
And I’m in bliss…
