Just Have a Brew Love

When the outside world is cold
And the inside’s not much better
The storm is quieting down
Yet your socks only get wetter

Just have a brew love.

When you’re late for work
Because you’ve missed the bus
And the boss goes berserk
And don’t half cause a fuss

Just have a brew love.

Or the big day has finally come!
And you awake with those dreaded cold feet
And you’re scared to say those sacred vows
But it was only a short bed sheet

Just have a brew love.

When the kids are too rowdy
And your patience has flown
Or your house is too quiet
And you hate being alone

Just have a brew love.

Because we all know it’s true
No matter how bad the day’s been
To flick that switch on the kettle
And to wipe that slate clean
Just avoids that drained feeling
Of the day’s metaphorical shove
Let the bruises be drowned away
So you can, just have a brew love.
