And Trough Broken Curtains

And through broken curtains of what dreams
A smile shines through the holes
Forgiveness is on the end of a stick
Poking lover’s hearts
Love is a ribbon rapped around your finger in knots
Fingers turn to pens
Writing what lover’s can’t say and won’t say
Letters scramble, jumble up and down the page
Dancing as hungry loins
Eyes meet, sing, and flame up in passionate rage
Smoke pores out of their mouths when trying to speak
And hearts play like records skipping a beat lying close to their lover’s
But lover’s that aren’t careful, and close can turn into birds, flying away through broken curtains of those dreams
