Asleep at Night
Sheets cover the bed but not her
 She prefers the floor
Where its safe, the floor you kind of not fall through
Blinking to make her eyes adjust to the dark
Locks the door to be sure, nothing creeps in
Dreams out her window with no trees protection, day or night
Dreams of what’s beyond the beyond though the cable wires, or the neighbors
Then she lays her pretty little head on the pillow and dreams of unpleasant dreams
But wakes with a smile to show she not scared
