Grief
In time of great grief,
You’re as gentle as a butterfly on a leaf,
As sensitive as a snowflake,
There’s only so much you can take,
You’re only as sturdy as a broken chair,
You think sometimes it’s not fair,
You’re down right tired,
Sometimes prayers are required,
Every night is a fight to sleep,
But your sleep never gets deep,
You get up to another day,
But the night before is your price to pay,
Every time you think you’re done,
There’s always more to do, what ‘fun’,
You always think of things to do in your spare time,
Before soon you look at the walls and are ready to climb.
