I look up at the chandeliers
Blow the hair out of my face
Move my arm to wipe the tears
I don’t belong, can’t find a place
A chill comes and then it’s gone
I feel his presence once again
He just pauses then moves on
Leaving me without the rain
That sliver of hope disappeared
Sorrow overtook my heart
Giving up is what I feared
Never as one, forever apart
