My Blanket

April 23, 2008
By leeah bedard, Newport, VT

If you were my blanket so soft,
I wrap you around me.
I would never throw you around,
So you would get dirty.

But if you happened to get dirty,
I would wash you by hand.
I be as gentle as can be,
The best that I can.

When your warmth wasn't needed,
Id fold you gently,
but I wouldn't put you away.
I place you right beside me.
