Here I am in a place of love,
With everything I need, nothing to complain about,
And nothing to lose.

The neighbor boy gets kicked out,
Sleeping in the cold nights on the damp streets,
Losing a place to live.

The government fails at providing an education,
Cutting growth from many children,
Losing a chance for a future.

People all over the country are unemployed,
No money to support them and their families,
Losing hope when they can’t find a way.

With nothing of our own
We can’t help the many going hungry,
Losing lives that shouldn’t be lost.

Here I am in a place of love,
