the chatter in the crowd
the screams from the coach
the swish of the net
the spin in the ball
Coach called my name
His eyes filled with fustration
Pushed me on the court
Hoping to stop them.
They were so immense
So tall and so strong
I was inexperienced
But quite steadfast
I got into the game
Soon out of breath
Determined to stop them
And send them home
I live for these moments
Live for no regrets
Always pushing myself
To be the best
