Girl

A little girl goes for a simple walk,
And even though she never talks,
She communicates,
Why all the people must wait,
The sun falls from the sky,
Still not a tear falls from her eye,
She just walks down the street,
Knowing what she will meet,
And in the shadow of the night,
Shines a faint light,
That does not try to hide,
As it runs by the little girl’s side,
She walks past a lone house,
As she sees a mouse running into the night,
Never again to see light,
And as the wind blew,
The young girl died on cue,
But never is she very far,
For still her eyes still shimmer like the stars.
