Water Won't Help
Happening suddenly
Or been awaited,
It strikes.
Rolling on for blocks,
Possibly miles,
Brings it joy.
Creeping into homes
And onto families
Makes it grin.
The heat melting faces and
Burning down entire houses
Creates its laughter.
Cries and moans
Of human beings
Makes it strong
It spits on the shoes of man
Then continues its rampage
Stomping over them.
It has no feeling of remorse
For the lives it has crushed
And the agony it aroused.
