Ode to the Moon

Ode to the moon,
that shines so bright,
that lets us see all through the night.
A howling target,
Nature's nightlight.
without it,
we would have no sight at night.
Ode to the moon,
shining through the fog.
Beautiful to a human,
and confusing to a dog.
The colorless moon,
preventing pitch black,
so that we don't go out,
and never come back.
