The Cure

Watching
Waiting in the background, he has
Observed her activity for
Quite some time now

As she slips under
The covers, she has no clue as
To what will take place, or
How much her life is in danger

The woman soon falls asleep
And he starts his...
Pursuit
Heart pounding, his conscience
Kicks in

He brings out his knife,
Blade so smooth and slightly thick
Throws off the covers and
Holds the weapon with
So much passion

The knife comes
Millimeters close
To the woman’s skin…
Her eyes open

Not knowing what’s
Going on
She takes the
Knife and
Stabs him through
His heart

She cuts through his
Skin with such precision
And force
Almost as if it
Was planned

If only the man were
To have known
That it was her plan
All along
To take that knife from
His hand and
Cure her broken heart

It was interesting poem to read and the irony because the man is trying to kill the woman instead the man get killed from the woman. However, one thing i would suggest is that i would like to see more visual imagery and personalification.
