A Chance Worth Taking
Summer’s soft rain has never felt so cold.
In your warm embrace, fresh with life, I've never felt so bold.
(In my mixed thoughts I can only form your name.)
I can only feel as a fool does for not confessing my faith.
I've lost myself in your light and now it's far too late...
Tonight I fall asleep a bit misguided.
For my thoughts are enslaved
in a web and you’re the lovely spider, half-past delighted
to say my name.
Lost in the night, my dreams have awakened.
My mind is alright, lest my heart be shaken.
My eyes may have gone blind, but my vision’s not mistaken.
You’re not just a girl, you’re a chance worth taking.
