To go would be wrong, right?
We are just friends- could it cause us to fight?
I know he wants more, but we can only be mates
I can’t go with him on dates

The shopping for shoes and a dress
Could be so fun, but to put his head in a mess
Would be so wrong… I don’t see him that way
But to go with him on that day
To the Hollywood themed prom
Would be like a bad sitcom
My friends tell me that at least I could go
But to him I think it is right for me to say “no”
And so therefore on prom night
I resist my disappointment with all my might
Because I know I did right
