My Depression

March 14, 2008
By Katrina Minor, Cohoes, NY

The gray clouds dwell in the sky
The world goes black and white
People linger around like zombies
Half dead and half alive
Everything is unfamiliar
Although I’ve been here before
The world stops rotating
as I sink into my depression
my hands become clamy
my face extremely pale
and the whole universe seems to move
to the beat of my heart
I seem to be sinking
Into a never ending hole
I open my mouth to shout
But nothing comes out
Running down an endless road
Falling into the sky
I begin to lose self control
I begin to cry
Tears composed of acid
Eating away at my soul
im hyperventilating
constantly blacking out
im shaking nervously
I want it all to stop
But im far from the end
