Lost in the Night

On my way back from vacation
I vanished in the night
Fog, emptiness, darkness, and the road ahead of me is all I see
Until I observe an old wooden sign pointing down a trail
With aged willow trees parallel with each other
I followed the dirt road
That led to a dark place

An old eerie place
I think it’s haunted
It could be dangerous
Should I cheek it out?
I wonder what will happen if I wander in

So I wander into an old run down gas station
Deep dimensions of darkness capturing
Fog across my headlights and
Moon light is all I see

No lights, no people, just silence
Only a town left behind
In the middle of nowhere, surrounded by willow trees

It was dark and grim inside, glass covered the door way
Demons I suspect surrounding the place
Under priced products still stand
Spider webs and dust covered the floors, and walls,
Food and drinks still stored the station
As I wipe the dust from the cash register I it reads
6.66

Danger, doom, and destruction lurking around me
In the haunted old place

I pulled into an old useless gas station
Deep darkness driving all around me
Moon as bright as the darkness of night

I was lost into the night.
