I wish I could be infinite
Yet the hourglass controls my every motion
Hypnotizing me with its golden grains of sand
As they cascade down into the bottom of the glass
I fear the moment when the downpour vanishes
I will become oblivious to all
For I let the hourglass haunt me
Control me, become the essence of my existence
Awaken me from this trance
I want to free-fall into the unknown
