Conch Shell Shores

As I reminisce over my very life
I recall my time in love with the ocean
The boats and the sea saltiness
The billowing rain and puffed out sails
The wind blowing through my face and hair
As I breathed the cool clear air
I felt the wet sand through the soles of the sandals
As I walked along conch shell shores
Peanut butter sandwiches and frosted lemonade
The memories that fate had weaved and made
So now as I live close to the ocean
The memories resound in my mind again
So as I remember the times of rustling waves and the unpredictable tide
I look to the sunset as I lie down and hear the seagull’s cry
