Falling Stars
The salty water comes and washes away
The cool breeze blows against my face as I stare into the sky
And the moon turns the dark night into a bright day
Now I sit there under the moon, with the wet tears now dry
You took me away from my fears into a land I once knew
But now I sit here with tears in my eyes from all the pain
And from all the promises that never came true,
You told me before that you'd love me till the end
And now I'm alone and hurt from all the lies
Now all I have is just one friend,
The one who sits with me now, the one who tries
So desperately to remove the pain that now leaves scars
And yet, sitting here in his arms, all the pain washes away
With the breaking waves and the falling stars
