The leaves change,
The temperature drops,
Beautiful orange circles,
In a field of green
Appear.
Fall is here,
And the central factor
Is the pumpkin.
It smells of fall,
Oh so crisp,
A smile spreads
Across my face,
As I scoop out
That beautiful
Pumpkin flesh.
Pumpkin breads,
And soups,
Create a haunting
Aroma.
The flavor explodes
In my mouth.
Pumpkin creations
So sweet,
So savory,
So soft,
And the seeds
So crunchy.
My belly,
Now the size of a pumpkin,
Can’t expand
Any more.
The seeds,
We leave out to dry
And plant,
So next year,
The magical
Fall process,
Can repeat.

This is great! It brought a smile to my face and you really managed to capture the wonderful essence of fall. Great job! Would you mind checking out a few of my works? I would greatly appreciate it.
