I'm all alone

listening to an Alibi on my own

But here I feel

I'll never forget you even as I've grown

I'm on the run

From that 'me' with the gun

You broke my heart

Right from the very start

I never gave in

I was inspired

Never did I let my evils win

It was you I desired

With that broken heart

there from the start

I went on, still didn't care

Because I loved you with it all, I swear

In the future

Distant future

I wonder if and when

I'll ever see you again

Something tells me its better this way

What it is I cannot say

But I can bet

Losing you is my biggest regret

The author's comments:
This is yet another poem, written for that one special one that slipped away. This is only when I first began to notice that she was slipping away, and that she was ready to move on, and I had to do so as well. Of course, there is always the loss of that one person that changes you drastically.
