Curiosity From A Child's P.O.V
Who made me?
Who made my fingers, toes, and brown hair?
Who made my blue eyes?
These two pair of blue eyes, I mean---
The ones who are a reflection of the blue sky,
The ones with dreams and freedom
Who move back and forth looking for a missing piece?
Who is an angle sent from above
Now she lifts up her head and looks around for him.
Now turns into tomorrow, tomorrow turns into years, she’ll be all grown up and fly away.
I don’t know exactly what a father is.
I do know how to sleep, how to fall down
Into my mother’s arms for an embrace, how to smile,
How to be sweet and playful, how to crawl around the house making a mess
Which is what I have been doing all day with my mom
Tell me, what else should I have done to make you stay?
Don’t they say it’s wrong to walk away?
You tell me, what is it you plan to do
With a shot at life without your father at you side?
