Hold me softly,
Kiss my cheek,
Show me love,
Be bold, not meek.
Hold my hand
in the pouring rain,
Take away
the unwanted pain,
Stroke my hair,
Pull me close,
Make it clear I’m the one
That you need most.
Brush my lips,
With yours alone,
Stay up all night with me
on the phone.
Make me laugh
When I’m crying and sad
and even more
when I’m shouting and mad.
Make my heart melt,
With your smile,
Tell me you’ll be with me,
For a very long while.
These are the things
You used to do,
The sad thing is,
You've gone, it's true
