Nine in the Evening

February 27, 2008
The hour of hellos and goodbyes
The hour to relax and unwind
The hour of peeping stars and sleeping babies
The hour of teenagers and friends
The hour of get-togethers and parties
The hour of wrinkled sundresses and bare feet
The hour of fireflies, crickets and grass stains
The hour of bonfires and hammocks
The hour to savor like your memory’s fleeting
The stolen hour that whispers of excitement
The eternal hour that is frozen in time
The hour that tells a bedtime story
The hour of dusk that fades to black
