R.I.P. to the boy you used to see ;His days are over. Baby he's over -

how can i look at your tired face and not know whats wrong ;
not knowing you haven’t loved yourself in yet so long ;
It’s the kind of tired you dont need sleep for ;
as pills and bottles of NyQuil are scattered on the floor ;
The kind of tired where you start to feel disappointed at the world ;
disappointed with yourself and the people that never deserved you at all ;
dont know where it started but your desperate not to fall ;
to fail and feel no hope anymore -
scared to tell your secrets and rough times ;
” just somethings you gotta keep to yourself ” ;
disappearing from the happy person you once were ;
as your best friend sits in the drench of disbelief wondering …
how could she not know , not see ;
the fake smile upon your face , the scared laugh ;
not taking risks willing to take -
or living life when you might not have another day ;
so now you smoke weed and drink most days ;
and its sad to see my best friend slip away ;
i hope the old you comes back ;
and as he sits on the roof top with a coors in his hand ;
orange sweater by his side
weed on his mind - wishing the past behind ;
i just want things to get better -
i want the old you ;
