I am from the room that’s right across the restroom
I am from Galveston
The breeze coming from the ocean
Who’s surrounded by seafood restaurants and hotels
I am from Bluebonnets and Roses
From trees, forests, and lakes.
I am from the dumb-butts I call family,
I am from world peace and the end of the world
I am from Olive Garden and Starbucks Coffee.
I am from the time my cousin’s pants fell down
And from the 1st time I saw my cousin in years
Under my bed are drawings, and random quotes on a piece of paper.
