Won't Want You Later
You told me
you'd show me
what love was really like
But you put her first,
until it didn't work
she wouldn't let you inside
her heart, her mind
she didn't want you to leave her
all alone
high and dry
I wish I would have know
she had it right all along
You played the same games
with your poems and love songs
and I followed you
optimistic and blind,
just wanting a man I could call mine
but you turned things around and a scared little boy is what I found
you're not ready for love
bvecause you're not ready to grow
you were so willing to sit back and watch me go
you don't bother with goodbyes because you love like a traitor
but if you don't want me now, I won't want you later
