Fun little lover
word me into slumber
Past glowing heads of
Purple and blue

Laugh to sky and smoke
On a late night of summer
Dear untouchable man
Sing me a childhood tune

Wherever I run
The moon shall follow
With its light to shed
Upon my foolish skin

Our time and stories
My mind may swallow
Shadows beneath tears
Conceal my deepest sin

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem after going to a concert with my family and witnessing the unison of so many people over music. Paul McCartney performed for us at Yankee Stadium and it was one of the most inspiring nights of my life, which resulted in this poem.
