Who I wish To Be

I would like to see beauty in everyone, no matter how ugly their hearts may seem.

I would like to live each day with a selfless, open-minded, and sincere attitude, no matter how hard it is.

I would like to appreciate the things we most often take for granted, no matter how small.

I would like to be kind, loving, and understanding toward all others, no matter how they treat me.

I would like to put my all into everything I do, no matter how small it is.

I would like to be known as a responsible, trustworthy, and a reliable person, no matter who is talking about me.

I would like to be optimistic towards life, no matter what the situation.

I would like to help people in need, no matter how busy my life seems.

I would like to be seen always with a smile on my face, no matter what I am going through.

I would like to forgive, no matter how severe the hurt I feel towards the person.

I would like to be thankful for all I have, no matter what I wish I had.

I would like to not blame others for my own problems, no matter what, know that I make my own decisions.

But above all else,

I would like to treasure my God, my family, and my friends, no matter what.

Erin,

Thank you for sharing this with me.  Your piece is something I wish to and will read often to remind me to treasure what I believe in.

Thank you!
