It’s as American as apple pie.
It’s a sacrifice with a soldier’s death.
It’s dealing with your problems
when you’re really hurting inside.
It’s standing up for yourself
when no one else respects you.
It’s finishing your homework
when you could go to sleep.
It’s running that last sprint
when you can’t breathe.
It’s using your brain
when you can’t think
It’s being calm
and draining the game-winning shot.
It’s taking on a lineman in the hole
when you’re outweighed by 100 pounds.
It’s getting some tough love
and bouncing back better.
It’s what all the great ones have:
