Texas Girl
I’m way too proud and have no reason to be
Simply me, sippin sweet tea
Born in San Antone, good food, Alamo
I got a lot of soul, cheery moods; a dynamo.
I say a lot of words like “ain’t” and “ya’ll”
Even though I’m little I act like I’m tall
Barbeque and a Rangers game
We might change; they’ll stay the same
I crave wide open spaces
A burning bonfire and stars, in most places
Yeah, I’m a fussy stubborn Texan
And if a man wants that, may God bless him
I’m used to pick-ups, but please no pick-up lines
Just start with Texas and maybe soon you’ll be mine
If you want my love you’re gonna have to try hard
That’s what you get for loving a Lone Star
You can take me to the Stock Yards, or just around Fort Worth
No, we don’t have to go to the ends of the earth
Well I’m not too averse; yeah I plan to see the world
But in my heart I’ll always be a Texas girl.
