Acquainted With Failure

March 5, 2008
By Brittan Buhrig, Vale, OR

I have been acquainted with failure many times.
I have sprinted through, in and out of failure.
I have lived on the edge of failure.

I have been schooled by failure and got an A.
I have been hurt and healed by failure.
I have seen other people get hurt by failure but I
Helped them get through it like I did.

If failure was the candy of my eye I would stay
Away from it even thought it may look good.
Failure could have different identities, which you
Need to stay away.
When failure is the basketball and success is the rim
You keep on shooting.
Failure is just a feeling that you have to ignore at all costs.

I have been acquainted with failure many times.
