Never meet again
As you push the door open alcohol hits the air.
Your eyes quickly hit me and cause instant fear.
You seem so angry but I cant figure out why.
As your hands grip my throat I begin to cry.
You threaten to hurt me if I've told a fabrication.
While I sit and think of some way of communication.
Trying to come across the words that seem right.
Continuing to struggle and put up a fight.
Your grasp becomes tighter and it's harder to breathe.
You stare deep in my eyes and find ways to release.
You look at the door and begin to walk out.
So I tell you I love you hoping then you would stop.
You look at me again with so much pain in your eyes.
The anger becomes weak and your hatred subsides.
You kiss me once more somehow taking all pain.
Then you turn to the door and we never meet again.
