A Rebirth

March 3, 2008
By Jason Cooper, New City, NY

The frost is lift
The ice is melting
Winter is raising her cold spell
Like curtains on a theater stage

Harsh times are over
And the warmth will return
To nature’s fields
And the hearts of little children

Flowers and plants will be restored
In their full glory
Replacing the slick sheets of ice
And the dominating mounds of snow

Life reborn
Is the rebirth of Spring
