Memories
She clings to the past
When her life was happy
When the world was full of joy
When the world seemed to stop
And melt for a minute
When she was touched by that certain boy
When she would lay in bed
And watch the sunset
While the evening colors
Danced across her wall
When the birds would tweet
And the air was sweet
With flowers and laughter
And goodies and sweets
With her bouncy pigtails
And her little red pail
She would laugh and play all day
So with these memories in her head
The old woman smiled and said;
"I'm ready, Jesus take me away."
