What will become of memories
Of happy times before the shadows
Of evil days choking our people
Of the most horrible suffering imaginable
Of keeping faith in the worst of times
Of loss of everything-but ultimately
Of survival?
What will become of them?
We know.
We who are the legacy
Of those who lived those memories
And told of the bravery of surviving
We will remember.
