Outside

Is anybody listening
Can you hear me
Am I a stranger to the world
Am I just a boring me
Is that all you see
Because that's how its feels
Its amazing how people judge
And their minds wont budge
To know who I am
They don't try to make an effort to know the real me
Because its a nobody that they see
And I feel like

I'm in the outside looking in
And I really want to be inside
I'm in the outside looking in
And I want someone to tell me its alright
I feel that if they see the real me
They'll really like what they see
But for now, I'm in the outside looking in

The author's comments:
I had always wanted to be part of the "in" crowd in my school. I thought of myself as just a plain jane type of girl. Once I had got to high school I met this really good group of friends and now I don't care about being popular because I had made my own "in" crowd.
