Leaving Neverland

Time spent
Thrust,
Pulled, and
Driven onto a bridge
Above a flood of tears
Leaving a life behind me.

I'm leaving Neverland...
Going to another land.
Another realm with memories to be made
And old times to be cherished and saved

Taking every step forward,
Not looking behind,
Everything behind, all covered in mist.
Wind, matching my tense breaths,
The wind pushes me.
Further, and further, I am forced, while
Closer, and closer, I am compelled
To adhere my feet to this fading path.

Longing to return,
To leave this reverie gone wrong.
To once again sing the songs of a fantastical world
And dance in the castle of the sky.
But those days are past
Has long been, since this bridge surfaced.

Now I must go...
To another land I fear
A land where I must speak
The focused words of an adult
And wander, lost, in grounded streets.
Where I can vaguely catch my image through the haze.

But to this land, and across this bridge
Is a journey, I must take
Or for me,
It's to be stuck in an idle between.

And so,
With a glance behind,
An anxious mind,
And with a somber heart...
I'll proceed across this bridge.
One step, two...

I'm leaving Neverland...
Going to another land.
Another realm of new memories to be made
And old times to be cherished and saved.

I'm leaving Neverland...
I'm going to another land
Another realm of new memories to be made
And old times to be cherished and saved

I'm leaving Neverland...
