The sun, the moon, face each other and hesitate

allowing my bones to ossify, and become calcium, like his

our paths cross, a moment that is everything but fleeting

a subconscious paradise shines into my reality, making it bearable

the pain of ageing will have it's reward, like a fine wine

he's a sculpture so perfect it leaves me in awe, and secretly wishing to become one

too many narcissist walk along, and he's my escape from the crowd

this careful being,so true, and blind to ignorance

he's too far away to love,I cannot reach him without the elements

mother nature must cultivate, and allow my growth

strip away any sophomoric tendencies, set me free from time

so we can exist on the same field of grass, and grow together

The author's comments:
This poem is about an adolescent girl that's infatuated with a young gentlemen who is much older than her. She imagines a world where time is on her side and she could mature faster enough to be with him.
